We caught up with him about the latest including his soon to be released album Stage Two!
On October 8th, 2018, Brian Falduto strolled onto the stage of The Cutting Room in New York City at his single release party with one mission in mind: entertaining his audience. From his role as Billy, a.k.a. “Fancy Pants,” in School of Rock to his recent years, Brian ventured into the music industry with the 2017 release of his debut acoustic EP, Love One Another.
Brian Falduto is best known as Billy aka Fancy Pants in the 2003 movie School of Rock. He came out as gay as a senior in college, but may have been the last to know, considering his character was famous for adoring Liza and uttering the words “You’re tacky and I hate you,” lines he delivered so credibly he became known as the gay kid from School of Rock.

Brian Falduto began his journey in the entertainment industry at 11-years-old when he was cast as Billy “Fancy Pants” in the 2003 School of Rock film. He took a break to focus on his studies and went to Wagner College, where he earned a dual-degree in Theatre Performance and Arts Administration.
After appearing in the 2003 film School of Rock alongside Jack Black, then-child actor Brian Falduto was severely bullied for playing a character perceived to be gay.
Falduto played young fashionista Billy in the film, whose “You’re tacky and I hate you!” line is still quoted.

He might have played one of the most beloved characters from smash hit 2003 movie School Of Rock alongside comedian Jack Black, but Brian didn’t receive any of that adoration from his classmates.

The actor is best known for his portrayal as the fashionista/costume designer Billy in the 2003 movie, but despite starring alongside the likes of Jack Black, Brian was subjected to series of homophobic abuse by school peers when the film was released.
“I got noticed because I stood out. And then I spent the rest of my life trying to not stand out.”
