April 2019 Newsletter
It’s been a hot minute but I wanted to send some fun updates from over here at brianfalduto.com.
You’ll perhaps notice that this e-mail is lacking some pizazz in comparison to past newsletters. That is because brianfalduto.com is currently undergoing a total rebrand! We are “under construction,” if you will. I’m really excited about what’s going on behind-the-scenes & I’m excited to roll it out over the next month across my platforms. Don’t tell anyone, but there may be a blog in the works! As always, the best place to keep up with me on a day-to-day is by following me on Instagram or by liking my Facebook page.
2019 had a fun start with a return to Los Angeles. I had a great Pilot Season out there auditioning for some fun projects. The latest acting update come with Fishing, a crowd-funded web series that I’ll be returning to LA in a couple weeks to finish filming. If you’d like to support the project, you can click here.
A big majority of my time in LA this year was spent focusing on music. Changing up your landscape fills the mind with possibility & allows for creativity to flow. I used the time outside my comfort zone to network & befriend other talented songwriters & musicians while using the tranquility of a slightly slower schedule to complete some personal writing goals I had set for myself. I’m all stocked up with new tunes as I head into the coming busy months!
While much of my recent time has been spent on personal & artistic growth, I made sure to keep the calendar active with some shows including 2 West Coast concerts for Brian Falduto & Friends. Additional appearances included an LA variety show called “Cereal Bowl” & a Queer Cabaret hosted by the fabulous JonnieReinhart. You can catch a cover of Brandi Carlisle’s “The Eye” from my live-streamed concert at Kulak’s Woodshed featuring the swooning vocals of jackbenny – on my YouTube channel! I wrapped winter up this past week with a small set at The Footlight, Queens in support of touring artist Emma G.
My life coaching business continues to grow, slowly but surely. I’m starting to feel confident in what it is I have to offer & who exactly can benefit from it. Much of this will be reflected in the rebrand I spoke about. I recently encountered a passage that I feel is very reflective of what it is that my clients & I are being called to embody.
“It is impressive to see a person who has been battered by life in many ways, who is torn by a variety of unsolved problems, who may be alienated from many aspects of the self – and yet who is still fighting, still struggling, still striving to find the path to a fulfilling existence, moved by the wisdom of knowing, ‘I am more than my problems.’
Having the will to be efficacious does not mean that we deny or disown feelings of inefficacy when they arise; it means that we do not accept them as permanent. We can feel temporarily helpless without defining our essence as helplessness. We can feel temporarily defeated without defining our essence as failure. We can allow ourselves to feel temporarily hopeless, overwhelmed, while preserving the knowledge that after a rest, we will pick up the pieces as best we can and start moving forward again. Our vision of our life extends beyond the feelings of the moment. Our concept of self can rise above today’s adversity. This is one of the forms of heroism possible to a volitional consciousness.”

In May, I will be attending the 2019 LGBT Life Coaching Conference on a full scholarship; I’m very much looking forward to this opportunity to better myself as a gay coach.
A few exciting performance announcements!
I have some opportunities coming up that I’m immensely grateful for –
Stay tuned for additional information on these & more!
There was so much to catch up on that I barely even mentioned all the fun I’ve been having on the side! I have such incredible people in my life, old & new; & I’ve been so blessed to get to experience so many fun things in the recent months: hilarious comedy shows, gorgeous hiking trips, challenging fitness programs, amazing live music, tasty food, my 1st ever winery, & much more that I could go on & on about … my cup runneth over & I am loving life.
